Set between architecture and design, interior design has an important, emotional role concerning our standard of living as well as a tool of communication. |

VivesVives is a lounge located in the "Westbahnhof" in Aachen. The creamy clean interior is designed for multifunctional use. At daytime the rooms are used as cafe, in the evenings they can transform into a lounge or a nightclub. Highlights are the comfortable, modular Sitboxes, that can easily be stacked together, and a soft wall that stretches all along the room, inviting visitors to lean against it when the space is used as a dancefloor. The warm illuminated bar reaches into the space and structures it into smaller areas, that create a cozy mood, even with a a few visitors. |

Urban RetailThis concept for a clothes store is based on the idea to initiate a new "urban nature". Since for most people the city has become their only habitat it seems suitable to rebuild some of our atavistic surroundings in a new way. Therefore the design of this store uses an organic form language combined with a blend of various renewable materials. The lit ceiling reminiscences the feeling of walking under a leafy canopy. |

Poolbar 07The temporary interior for the Poolbar festival in Austria is characterized through a network of uniquely styled spaces. On the ground floor the warm blue "Living Room" invites visitors to chill out and relax aside the connected concerthall. The furniture is designed to force active, communicative sitting. The big hall on the top floor is also used as concerthall, but serves mainly as cafe space. Light Curtains structure this big room and generate a cozy, warm atmosphere. |

Lab9 HQThis Concept of a two story office building for an architectural collective, offers a fluent, open space. The organic, bright surfaces of the structure are further defined by strokes of lawn, that indicate walkways and zones. The fractal roof creates an intense contrast to the soft forms of the management spaces on the second floor. The ground floor is organized as a free plane that offers a maximum of spatial flexibility. |

Entrance PavilionThe entrance pavilion for the historic olympic village in Berlin, Germany is based on the existing foundation of a team dorm from 1936. Its volume follows the original masterplan for the village and is covered with a perforated copper coat. The perforation displays an abstracted gymnastic sequence. The interior is characterized by fresh, inviting colors and natural materials. It features a small shop and info counter, as well as a cafe and a presentation / exhibition space. |

Te Wero BridgeThe purpose of the "Te Wero" bridges´ design is to generate a unique landmark for the Auckland (NZ) harbor area. The forms of the bridge are inspired by organic ocean shapes and thereby generate not only a physical connection to the island, but also a spiritual one to the nearby ocean. The road and pedestrian network is designed to offer maximum experience of the location. The bridge building offers exclusive spaces for high class attractions in the center of the harbor, that will house exciting, public functions. Suspension ropes and hydraulic elements work together to lift and fold the segmented bridge track and open the bridge for nautical traffic. |

PiThe Pi exposition stand, for a data management firm, is recognized clearly through its brand colors. In front of the backwall, that gains a strong depth through a colorpattern and lighteffects, three islands are placed, that communicate the firms service. The first island works as a mere exposition space. On a big, horizontal, projected surface and small screens the business of data mangement is presented. The second island is dedicated to personal information. The bar island offers the visitors the possibility to chill out and helps to build a relaxed client relation. |

Air LoungeThe Air Lounge offers a broad range of services to travelers. A restaurant and a bar take care of the visitors well being. The lounge offers various media and communication possibilities. The welcome Counter is used to gain detailed information about the journey and offers the possibility to organize hotel and other services at the target destination. The connected roof terrace offers a unique view onto the airstrip. A special room is dedicated to relaxation. Inside of closed "Mind Capsules" travelers can let go for a moment and catch their breath beneath an artificial sky. |

Music LoungeThe Music Lounge offers events for a young audience. Three existing windows are transformed into flat lavalights, that generate a spectacular effect from the outside and the inside. The dance floor is characterized by light poles, that consist out of a combination of lavalight, pulsating LED and a stroboscope. Minimalistic furniture and fresh graphics intensify the atmosphere of this young music club. An interior concept for Sinot Design Associates. |

Private HomeThis private home draws its atmosphere from the contrast of the dark floor against the bright furniture and carpets. The livingroom is furnished strictly modern and offers space for a relaxed way of living. The bedroom is inspired by japanese calmness and creates, with its soft leather bed and the fresh flower prints on the walls, an intimate, but open atmosphere. |

SconeThe Scone musicclub draws its formal expression from its segmented room structure. Strokes of different material: carpet, epoxy resin, steel and wood form an intense spatial fabric. The bar is located opposite the stage, that creates a unique, close relation between artist and audience. Two peripheral lounge areas complete the central space. Scone, an exclusive music club with a unique atmosphere. |
